Private Sector Pathways Challenge Application Form: Supporting the Health and Wellbeing of Queenslanders

Overview

The Private Sector Pathways (PSP) program provides commercial opportunities to innovators, while solving complex Queensland challenges.

Through the PSP program, Health and Wellbeing Queensland, together with Queensland Health, is seeking innovative solutions to support the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders and help reduce pressure on the public health system.

Ideal solutions will make it easier for consumers to find relevant, targeted and evidence-based programs and services, that are free or low-cost. This can include local, state or national programs and services that target one or many modifiable risk factors for chronic diseases.

The PSP program is open to innovative Queensland businesses, with solutions produced and delivered in Queensland.

Eligibility Requirements

Is the Applicant Organisation located in Queensland? * Required
For the purposes of this program "Located in Queensland" is any organisation that has a physical office in Queensland and has an ABN which states its "Main business location" is in Queensland.
Is the Applicant Organisation a start-up or small to medium enterprise? * Required
A small to medium enteprise has 5-199 FTE employees

Before you begin

Ensure you have read the challenge statement, program guidelines, terms of participation and any additional information prior to completing the application form.

Provide detailed but concise responses to each question, avoiding the use of technical jargon or unexplained acronyms. Attempt to address questions in full – guidance text is included below each question.

Assessment Criteria 

The PSP program is a competitive grant process, and applications will be assessed against the following criteria:

Criteria 1: Addresses the Challenge

The Applicant Organisation's proposed solution:

  • will provide a solution to a real and defined Challenge facing a Corporate partner
  • will be innovative and involve:
    • new to market technology; or
    • novel application of existing technology;
  • is developed and delivered in Queensland; and
  • is likely to address the Challenge and provide a successful solution to the Challenge for the Corporate partner.

Criteria 2: Capability to Deliver & Project Viability 

The Applicant Organisation has:

  • the experience, skills and capacity to deliver the project to achieve the proposed solution;
  • the right to use necessary intellectual property in delivery of the proposed solution; and
  • identified key project risks and risk mitigation strategies.

The project is well planned and achievable within the Challenge timeframe.

Criteria 3: Technology/Market readiness

The proposed solution will:

  • use a product already at Minimum Viable Product stage and has been tested with potential users; or
  • use a product which is in market already and has customers.

The proposed solution will demonstrate if the product could create new market opportunities.

 Criteria 4: Fair Market Value

The proposed solution will be achieved within a proposed project budget which represents fair market value.
