  • diversify the Queensland economy
  • enable Queensland businesses to compete in domestic and global markets
  • engage and/or benefit regional Queensland

WHAT THE PROGRAM WILL COVER

Ignite+ Commercialisation & Growth will run between February and November 2026. It will deliver a suite of wrap around support activities to innovative, high-growth potential Queensland businesses, to support the state's innovation and growth agenda.

Together with capability-building, networking, ecosystem introductions, market development and capital raising support, there will be a key focus on mentoring, which has proven to be the most beneficial component to participants in the Ignite+ Programs delivered to date.

Ignite+ Commercialisation & Growth will commence with a two-day intensive Insights and Strategies Lab (26-27 February 2026 in Brisbane) for the entire cohort.  The Lab will address the business stage requirements for each participating enterprise, covering the building blocks for successful commercialisation and growth. The Lab will also allow for the participants to form collaborative relationships with each other and provide introductions to important participants and enablers in the Queensland innovation community.

The Insights and Strategies Lab will incorporate:

  • Commercialisation & Growth Strategies
  • Business Structures and Resourcing for Growth
  • Leveraging Networks
  • Knowing your Market
  • Connecting with your Customer
  • Sales Strategy and Fundamentals
  • Export models, Partnering and Channels to Market
  • Financial Basics
  • Funding – including:
    • Sources of grants and subsidies
    • Angel & Venture Capital and Investment
    • Debt Funding
    • Funding alternatives
  • Strategic Leadership, Decision-making support and Governance

Following the Insights and Strategies Lab, participants will have access to a suite of online learning resources to support their ongoing development and will have opportunity to participate in workshops, innovation festivals and ecosystem events.

Each participant will be matched with highly experienced business mentors who will provide advice, support and guidance specific to individual business needs.

To complete the Program, there will be a Graduation/Celebration of Achievement event in November 2026.
