Applicant Organisation Eligibility

Is the applicant organisation headquartered in Queensland? * Required
For the purpose of this program, "Headquartered in Queensland" means: operating within Queensland (as evidenced by the majority of its key personnel being based in Queensland); conducting the majority of its work within Queensland; and, having an ABR ABN profile listing the ‘Main Business Location’ as Queensland.
Does the applicant organisation and/or related parties have 50 or less Full Time Equivalent employees? * Required
If the applicant organisation is a subsidiary of a group, the group must have 50 or less Full Time Equivalent employees.

Funding Tiers:

There are two funding tiers under the Ignite Spark Program:

Tier 1 - for applicants headquartered in South East Queensland, 20% matched funding contribution required.

Tier 2 - for applicants that are Indigenous businesses and/or headquartered in a Queensland region (outside of South East Queensland), 10% matched funding contribution required.

Is the applicant organisation headquartered outside of South East Queensland? * Required
For the purpose of this program "South-East Queensland" is any location in the following council areas - Brisbane City, Gold Coast City, Ipswich City, Lockyer Valley Regional, Logan City, Moreton Bay Regional, Noosa Shire, Redland City, Scenic Rim Regional, Somerset Regional, and Sunshine Coast.
Is the applicant organisation an Indigenous business? * Required
For the purposes of the Ignite Spark Program an Indigenous business is a business that is at least 50 per cent or more owned by an Aboriginal person and/or a Torres Strait Islander person. It may take the form of a company, incorporated association or trust. For clarity, a social enterprise or registered charity may also be an Indigenous business if it is operating a business.

This section is not applicable because of your response to questions:

  • "Is the applicant organisation headquartered outside of South East Queensland?" on page 1
  • "Is the applicant organisation an Indigenous business?" on page 1

Tier 1

Is the applicant organisation able to contribute cash to the proposed project that is at least equal to 20% of the amount of grant funding sought? * Required
For example: if you are seeking grant funding of $75,000 you must contribute a minimum of $15,000 in cash to the project.

This section is not applicable because of your response to questions:

  • "Is the applicant organisation headquartered outside of South East Queensland?" on page 1
  • "Is the applicant organisation an Indigenous business?" on page 1

Tier 2

Is the applicant organisation able to contribute cash to the proposed project that is at least equal to 10% of the amount of grant funding sought? * Required
For example: if you are seeking grant funding of $75,000 you must contribute a minimum of $7,500 in cash to the project.
Has the applicant organisation received federal, state or local government funding for the proposed project activities? * Required
Applicant organisations cannot currently be receiving or have previously received any other government funding for the proposed project activity. The federal government R&D tax incentive is not considered government funding and is not included in this requirement.
